1992 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER HDJ81 AUTOMATIC $35,000
This triple locked 1992 Toyota Land Cruiser HDJ81 is a Japanese-market example that we imported into the US in May of 2021 and sold in March of 2022. We recently took the truck in on consignment after the buyer upgraded to another modified 1HD-FT truck in our inventory. This fantastic example is now available again.
The truck is finished in two-tone silver and red over a dark gray and silver cloth interior and is powered by the legendary Toyota 4.2L 12-valve turbo diesel inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and locking front, center, and rear differentials. These triple locked examples are quite rare, especially in this condition and mileage.
Additional equipment includes a Toyota swing-out spare tire carrier, East Coast Bull Bars front bumper with built in Warn winch, IPF Super Rally auxiliary lights, rear flood lights, an aluminum roof rack (believed to be Jaos), aluminum OEM Toyota side steps, a receiver hitch, an aluminum OEM Toyota rear ladder and a Ganador exhaust system. This HDJ81 shows approximately 108,835 miles (175,154 kilometers) and is now offered with import documents and a clean Florida title.
Brand new 17 inch Black Rhino Armory wheels were mounted with new 35 inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 (315/70R17) tires in preparation for sale. A matching wheel and tire is mounted to a swing-out spare tire rear carrier. Additional work at that time included new windshield wipers, and a complete front knuckle rebuild with Japanese bearings and seals. Oil, brake fluid, transmission fluid, and antifreeze were changed. A new oil filter and new air filter was installed.
The suspension has a 4-5 inch lift and has Rancho RS900 XL shocks at all 4 corners, a Big Country stabilizer, and aftermarket springs.
Additional amenities include automatic climate control, a ceiling-mounted altimeter and compass, adjustable bucket seats, power lumbar support, heated seats, and factory refrigerator and ice maker!
Interior modifications include a Momo steering wheel, Japanese-market Pioneer Carrozzeria head unit with remote control, Pioneer Carrozzeria speakers, Pioneer Carrozzeria subwoofer, camping bunsen burner, water tank and sink, and convertible bed and trunk storage system.
The steering wheel frames a 6k-rpm tachometer, a 180-km/h speedometer, and gauges for voltage, fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure.
The 4.2L 12-valve 1HD-FT turbodiesel inline-six features a single overhead cam and direct injection. Power is sent to all four wheels through an Aisin A442F four-speed automatic transmission featuring third gear torque-converter lockup, a dual-range transfer case, and locking front, center, and rear differentials.
The data plate shows the HDJ’s frame number, color, trim, engine, transmission, and build location.
